Midnapore is bordered north and east by Fish Creek Park, south by Sun Valley Blvd and west by Macleod Trail. Midnapore is another SE lake community. This area was once a small town which was annexed to Calgary In 1961. The community is home to two historical sites which are churches. There are both separate and public schools in Midnapore. The lake offers beaches and toboggan hills and the Fish Creek Park offers regional pathways and access to Sikome Lake. The LRT line runs on the western side of Macleod Trail providing easy access to downtown or for students to attend SAIT, ACAD and the University of Calgary. Community is well connected to city’s major roadways. Midnapore Mall and Shawnessy Town Centre west of the community provide many shopping facilities as well as restaurants.
