I’m sure a lot of you have seen this photo circulating around the internet.  It give pause and makes one chuckle to think that someone hates their neighbor so much, they would spend money advertising to the neighborhood and possible buyers what a jerk their neighbor is.

But really, what is this seller going to accomplish?  He/She/They certainly will not sell their property from it!  Would you buy a home if the seller told you the neighbor had loud parties into all hours of the night all the time?  or anything that made the peace and enjoyment of their house and area a hell to live by?

Hmmm.  No.

So although this picture does give us a little chuckle, it is not a recommended selling tool!

List your property with a licensed REALTOR© and let us walk you through the easiest and FASTEST way to sell that property and get away from that jerk of a neighbor…

I have recently been searching for a home in calgary and seen several homes with for sale signs the have still not been sold the are not listed on mls or the real estate companie website why is this are there actually more houses on the market then anyone wants us to know is it actually a buyers market and are the realestate agents actually working to sell these homes when they don`t list it on mls etc

    • There are always more property for sale than are listed on the MLS. Only property that is listed with a licensed REALTOR gets put on the local MLS system. If you want to look into buying a home or property that is not listed, you will have to go to the FSBO websites and see what is available.

these properties are listed with century 21 and sutton group cir and some other realtors they are not listed on mls or there home sites why not I think there is more property listed in calgary then people want buyers to know that way prices don’t continue to drop

    • If you’re looking via the MLS system – unfortunately it doesn’t always work as well as we would like and sometimes properties don’t show up in a search that should include it. We are always talking about how the public realtor.ca site needs to be better. Second, not all REALTORS list their listings on their personal websites, normally just because they are too busy to update their sites regularly. There is no conspiracy among REALTORS or anyone to prevent housing pricing from dropping. Once a property that is listed for sale sells, those stats automatically are included in the statistics via CREB. The history for every home sold in a given area dictates the market value of a similar sized/style property. There is no way around it. The only way sold home stats are not recorded or included is when they are sold privately. Hope this makes more sense to you now Royce.

Why does everyone think all realtors are so shady and trying to hide the facts? SOME do, those are the ones you DON’T want to deal with….find one that’s good, honest and up front…It will change your views on the industry in a hurry!
